Achievements
- Students take part in Cyber, Science, Maths and English Olympiads conducted by SOF, New Delhi.
- Students paraticipate in inter-school and intra-school competitions and perform excellently.
Co-curricular Activities :
The school has various co-curricular activities. The Science, Sports and Fine Arts Clubs, Literary Association, Social Service League, Scouts & Guides, RSP, Band etc. give ample scope for the pupils to develop their talents. Students take part in various activities such as quiz, debate, dramatics, creative craft, essay writing and various competitions.
YOGA :
Classes IV-X learn practices of Yoga which include Asanas, Pranayam, Relaxation techniques, Concentration practices. They visited the Bihar school of Yoga at Munger and Rikhiapeeth as part of their participation in children yoga festival 2013.
KARATE :
Boys and girls learn Karate exercises. A pile of bricks is broken very deftly using the force of their hands.
CHESS :
Classes are taken for students on Saturdays.
ABACUS :
Ideal Play Abacus handles classes. Students learn mental arithmetic on addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. They appear for examination at different levels and the state level too.
ROBOTIX :
Students of classes 6 to 9 learn Robotix. They learn the basic theory and also to assemble simple rebots. The class is on every Saturday.
TAILORING :
Girls learn embroidary cutting and stitching of dresses.
TYPEWRITING :
Students from Std. VI - X learn Budgeting while pupils from Stds. XI & XII type letter writing, paragraph writing etc.,
SUPW :
A host of craft work is taught. Students learn glass painting, collage, jewellery designing, bead-work etc.,
MUSIC :
Students learn small prayer songs and Bharathiyar songs.
DANCE :
Students from Std.III to Std. IX learn a variety of dances. It includes Bharathanatyam and folk numbers.
Eco Club :
Eco- club take place on every Saturday between 12 - 1 p.m. noon. Students of Std. VI-VIII participate. They make paper bags and other eco-friendly products. Students of Std. VI to XII participate in a contest on marine and marine biodiversity. conducted by Tree Foundation which supports Environmental Education, Conservation and Community Development. In Flipper Fest 2014 in PPT presentation S.N.Harish of IX B and S. Mohesh Jain won the II Prize.
Scouts and Guides : The movement provides opportunities for youth to develop all aspects of their individuality consisting of physical, intellectual, emotional, moral and spiritual. Patrol system has a great value of character building and leadership training.
Scouts and Guides went for camps to Pallikaranai marshland and Nanmangalam Forest. Camps are often held at Besant Nagar Camping centre, Adyar. They participate in Diwitiya Sopan, Tritiya Sopan, Rajapuraskar and Rastrapathi training courses.
Road Safety Patrol : in short called as RSP helps to maintain order and discipline and obeying traffic rules on busy roads.
Extra-curricular Activities
The school arranges excursions and takes the students to different places of interest. Independence Day, Children's Day, Teachers Day, Founders Day, Annual Sports, School Anniversary etc. are celebrated and students are trained to display their talents on such occasions.
